Not only do we need the right accessories for our phones for protection we also need them to be safe. Laws are changing all the time and now more than ever more and more states are banning the use of cell phones while driving. I live in GA and the phone is not supposed to touch any part of your body while you drive. Now, how many times have you been talking on your phone and the stupid thing fell off its holder?
I bought this vent clip magnet thing and it worked maybe for the first month or so. It still works alright but just the magnet part. You see in the southern heat of the summer almost everything melts. Either that or the rubber around the metal spikes that are supposed to hold the magnet in the vent expands and losses its grip or glue and stops being the safe magnet keeping your phone where it is needed on the vent.
Why we need the right phone accessories
So here is my scenario I see my phone gradually slip down and tilt until I can’t even see the screen especially if I have the GPS on. So I discreetly put my finger on the vent and one on the phone to keep it from completely falling. This is why we really need the right accessories for our phones. My arm eventually gets tired and I let go naturally I am stopped at the light.
Greenlight and I press on the gas to get going and there goes my phone!!! I instinctively reach to grab it. Well, you all know it is just reflex. I can’t help it, at the same time I still have to look and make sure I am driving safely. As my reflex kicks in I also am not looking in front of or behind me. I am very lucky if I don’t hit anyone at that point or someone does not rear-end me because I slammed on the breaks.

It does not matter if you do not have a fancy iPhone or Samsung, they also have available the universal stuff for all kinds of phones like mine. I bought a universal clip and holder for my phone. This thing stuck to my windshield like super glue and once I locked the phone into it that was it. Safety first. It is right where I need it and a quick glance is all I need to look at the screen and attention quick on the road. Could not ask for anything better.
In conclusion get any form of hands free accessory for your phone, but please make sure it is strong, permanent, and safe like mine. This way you can arrive safely to your loved ones.
