Since 1993 The publishers, R&R Publishing Inc. has been documenting, collecting information about mountain passes and steep grades ongoing; and has been at it since 1993. The Mountain Directory Ebooks literally gives the locations and descriptions of over 720 mountain passes and steep grades in 22 states.
The Mountain Directory ebooks have intricate information about the steep grades; where they are and the dimensions, how long and how steep. The information they provide is good to have ahead of time. For example, whether the road is two lanes, three lanes, or four lanes; if there are escape ramps, switchbacks, sharp curves, speed limits, etc. Anyone can then make an informed decision ahead of time. Informed decisions are best made based on the information gathered ahead of time. Then you can decide, perhaps the cool morning hours would ease the strain on the engine and transmission during a climb. Or unhooking the towed vehicle would make the climb and the descent easier. Knowing what lies ahead is half the battle.
This mountain directory comes with incredible reviews. “RVers often have problems with mountain grades. Both going up and coming down. It’s helpful to be warned when a steep grade is coming up, and that’s just what the two Mountain Directories do.” Coast to Coast
