Cheeseburger Paired With Wine

Imagine cheeseburger paired with wine.  When you think of wine, you think of fancy parties and fancy dinners.  You almost never associate wine with your home-cooked family dinners unless it is a special occasion right? Most definitely not a cheeseburger.

Ever since I joined a wine club I know better now.  With this wine club membership, I don’t have to guess about wines anymore.  I get all the info I need on the tasting note card that I receive with my wine.  The wine that Comes To My Door Every Month!!!

I even get a suggestion of a meal that would pair perfectly with that particular wine.  Like this month I have a Rose Wine that pairs perfectly with a double cheddar cheeseburger.

A Cheeseburger Imagine That!

Cheeseburgers are ideal for grilling out on a weekend or a holiday spending time outside, picnic or just a gathering right?  Well no you know different.  I found this recipe for a double cheddar cheeseburger that goes perfectly with my wine.

So to make these delicious cheeseburgers you need about 2 pounds of freshly ground meat and of course some salt and pepper.  Don’t forget the double cheddar, 16 slices for eight hamburgers, 8 buns, veggies and whatever condiments you would like.  My choice would be mayo and ketchup. Veggies, I would pick tomato, lettuce, and pickle.

This recipe goes great with some horseradish mustard and grilled Vidalia onions.  For the horseradish sauce, you will need half a cup of dijon mustard and 2 tablespoons of drained horseradish.  To make the grilled onions, 2 onions are needed, sliced 1/4 inch thick, olive oil and of course salt and pepper.  Heat up your grill because hamburgers are just much better done on a grill right!

Divide your meat into 8 equal parts and shape them into burgers.  Season your burgers to your taste on both sides and grill about 3 to 4 minutes on each side for a medium-rare burger.  Safer to go medium well with your meat, but you do you.  Grill the onions at the same time.  During the last couple of minutes put two slices of cheese on the burgers to melt.  Once that is done now you can dress your sandwich.

Take a bun and put your burger on it.  Then put a dollop of the horseradish mustard on the burger.  Now come your veggies, onion and finish it off with another bun on top.  OR just forget the bun and call it an open-faced burger.

NOW for the finishing touch.  Get your wine, Lazy Lab Rose California 2017,  that has been chilling and fill your wine goblet.  Then you set it on the table next to your Cheeseburger and dig in.  YUM!!!

Now after you are completely full and need to relax, check out this wine club.  So many wines to choose from and so many other dishes to pair.  Every wine bottle is exclusive to the membership and with your membership enjoy discounts.  That means you pay a fraction of the price for a bottle of very fine wine.  Easy as booting up your computer, sign in and place your order.  Next thing you know, your wine shows up at your door!  How easy is that?
